Canonical announced a project for Ubuntu Android . The aim of the project – launched a full-fledged desktop from Ubuntu to Android-smartphone with a docking station.

According to Canonical, mobile devices have sufficient resources to run full desktop applications. Therefore, a more impractical to carry around (eg from home to work) heavy laptop – enough to take your phone and connect it to the dock and get a full-fledged workstation.

The company Canonical has released its new Ubuntu distribution for deployment in the enterprise.

Leading developer of Kubuntu Jonathan Riddel told that it was decided to stop funding the development of distribution after the release of 12.04. He also said that after the release of Kubuntu 4.12 will lose a paid support.

This decision was taken because of the commercial failure of Kubuntu. On November 28, Nokia held an event to introduce its new smartphone, the Nokia Lumia. As part of the promotion made a projection on Millbank Tower of London.
