International “Open Data Day”

Nvidia introduces Android Console “Project Shield”

Webinos project calls from App Challenge

The EU-funded Webinos project that traces the development of hardware-and operating system-independent software, has now released a public developer portal and proclaimed simultaneously with the activation of a developer competition.

WindowMaker 0.95.2 released

Nokia has transferred to Qt4 open development model

Grml 2011.12 released

The grml project has released version 2011.12 of the live distribution for system recovery and system management.

Grml 2011.12 is the second release this year, according to 2011.05 . The distribution has been updated to kernel 3.1.6. It is based on Debian, and can also be installed on a hard drive, but is especially intended as a live CD for administrators.

Grml 2011.12 “servant root privilages” had the goal to be smaller and to reduce the number of variants. Thus, the variants “small” and “medium” were deleted.
