The new release is adjusted to version 4 of the desktop environment, KDE and the Qt toolkit and has a D-BUS interface. In addition, the user is now cut, copy and paste elements available for Cpl. Images can be rotated, and the input files can now contain blank lines and comments. As output formats are Postscript and EPS to choose from.

The GPL application Cpl creates 2D and 3D data from Plotts.
