Mesa 9.0

Released the next version of the free OpenGL implementation of freedesktop.org. Originally it was to have the number 8.1, but since the implementation for Intel now matches the OpenGL 3.1, it was decided to release a number 9.0.

Among other things:

  • New drivers – NV30 (replaced nvfx) and Radeon SI;
  • code Clover (OpenCL implementation for Gallium3D) now in the mainline;
  • implementation of VDPAU Gallium3D marked as completed (acceleration implemented in shaders and limited MPEG-1 and MPEG-2);
  • r600g now supports corresponds OpenGL 3.0 ;
  • implemented the following extensions OpenGL3-4:

Mesa 8.0

The new version of the free OpenGL implementation of the freedesktop.org – Mesa 8.0. This version is declared unstable (development release), so that users who prefer stability, it is recommended to wait for version 8.0.1, or you can use the previous stable branch.

The main changes are:

  • Implemented support for OpenGL 3.0/GLSL 1.30 for some drivers (Intel classic DRI for integrated graphics processors Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge; Radeon R600g Video ATI / AMD; Nouveau Gallium3D for video card series GeForce 400/500; softpipe rasterizer);

Gears on Gallium 2011.10.31

Came the next release distribution Gears on Gallium, whose main objective is to provide live-system with the latest video drivers for video cards open AMD, nVidia and Intel.

Of the main changes in this release are:
