Release Midnight Commander 4.8.3

The new version of the console file manager Midnight Commander 4.8.3. This release is the main development branch is stabilizing, which does not add new features.

The main changes in version 4.8.2:

Bugfixes

  • Segfolt background in operations up.
  • Ignoring the second directory in the command line arguments.
  • Can not copy files to zero length if the option «Preallocate space».
  • When the copy operation UNIX-attributes of existing files are not saved if the option is exposed to “Save attributes» («Preserve attributes»).

The new version of the console file manager Midnight Commander 4.8.1

The main changes in version 4.8.0:

Main (panel)

  • Optional use of the function posix_fallocate64 () to reserve space on the media before copying;
  • Acceleration of launch;
  • Support for mouse events on a large terminal (223 columns and more).
