This library is used by hosting the source code for working with GitHub source code files. It allows you to:

determine the programming language, which is written the source code file for extensions;

generate statistics on languages, including visual forms;
organize syntax highlighting (used rail around Pygment);
recognize the files on the MIME-type, be excluded from processing certain types of files that are the result of different utilities in one.

The library is written in Ruby. Distributed under the new BSD.
