The founder of the famous news site Slashdot, Rob Malda, has announced his retirement known. After 14 years, he considers the time has come for someone else directs the fortunes of Slashdot.

Malda Slashdot as 1997 brought into being, he could not have imagined that he thus created a cult site. He wrote the system together with some friends in college. It has been implemented in Perl, and even if it matured over the years and renewed, Slashdot, his appearance has never changed.

The last of the Mandriva employees and managers for the desktop versions of Mandriva Linux, Eugeni Dodonov, takes his hat to the end of the month. That gave Dodonov known in his blog.

As the chief developer of the Mandriva distribution, Eugeni Dodonov, in his blog writes , he becomes the end of the month after almost three years left Mandriva. Reason for leaving are new tasks, which will dedicate Dodonov now. He stressed that he had noticed that there now is the time to set sail. “Times change and people and I’ve realized that it is now time to continue to sail towards new horizons and duties”, so Dodonov in his blog entry.
