Examples include the ability to stop just individual threads of a program, while the others continue to run (Non-Stop Debugging). Also new is the multi-process debugging, which can be a single GDB server to connect to the target machine with several processes. This keeps the low consumption of resources on the target. A feature, use the example, the developer of the Chrome browser is, auto-attach on Fork: The debugger automatically connects to open a new browser tab that runs as a separate process.
