Released Rhythmbox 2.98, run it on Debian and derivatives!

It was just released new version 2.98 of Rhythmbox.

Release AntiX 12

Out AntiX 12 – a new release based on Debian testing branch distribution, effectively running on outdated hardware.

Desktop environment AntiX based on window manager IceWM, desktop ROX Desktop and file manager SpaceFM.

As an alternative window manager provides the ability to activate Fluxbox, JWM, wmii and dwm. In the distribution used by the kernel Linux 3.5, configured to load on systems with processors PI and AMD K5/K6. In antiX now has its own repository.

Xfce 4 desktop environment will be the default in Debian 7

Finnix 105 came with a new tool

Debian has appeared auto mirrors

In the Debian distribution appeared mirror redirector.

Now, instead of having to choose the closest / fastest mirror hands, you can just add sources-list line

deb http://http.debian.net/debian

Knoppix 7.0.1 was released

Hosted the first public release of seven branches of one of the oldest LIVE-distributions of Linux.

Linux Mint Debian Edition 201204RC

The creators of Linux Mint has released a few days, the Debian edition of the Linux distribution (short LMDE).
With the DIY desktop Cinnamon Mate on board and softened along with Xfce as an alternative Linux Mint Debian from Ubuntu to the otherwise under fed from distribution. . Aptitude 0.6.6 is available in Debian testing

Cupt 2.5.0

First “squeeze Debian-Edu-version”-based public

The team of Debian Edu (Skolelinux) has released the first version of the distribution, which is based on Debian 6.0 “Squeeze”.

Debian Edu is a Debian Pure Blend , which is used specifically in schools and educational institutions and provides a ready-made environment of a fully configured school network. It contains the configuration of a school-server installations via PXE, PXE boot for machines without hard drives, a configuration for the installation of stationary workstations and a configuration for workstations, which can be removed from the school network.
