A new version of Sigil – a free e-book editor format EPUB.

In this version of the program drew off a significant number of routine operations, to take away the previously time-consuming:

  • appeared generator pointer to the editor, where you can use regular expressions to search for occurrences;
  • added generator inline tables of contents;
  • there were snippets and saved preset search / replace (also with regular expressions);
  • Improved tool to search and replace in the main window; 
  • A dialog appears extended statistics on the document, showing useful information about its various aspects;
  • Added a simple insertion of identifiers and references to them;
  • appear quickly delete unused images and styles.

The generated code is a WYSIWYG XHTML become neater, instead splitting mode to code view and WYSIWYG visual mode now plus a built-inspector code of Webkit.

The project is currently headed by John Skimber, one of the sponsors of the popular program Calibre.
