EPM 1.0 – a single package manager
by admin ·
Etersoft company announces EPM 1.0 – single means of managing packages. EPM provides a universal syntax for operations on the packets in various Linux-distributions. EPM interface resembles rpm, apt and urpm and is the same for all systems.
So far, the package management had to use a different set of teams in each distribution. EPM can solve the problem of differences in package managers, and perform the necessary operations on any platform with a single set of commands. This will greatly simplify the management package for those who work with a lot of distributions: system administrators, developers, testers.
The project was announced this summer at the Ninth Conference of free software developers in Obninsk. Since EPM functionality has been fully implemented for a variety of Linux-distributions: ALT Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Mandriva, Fedora, openSUSE, Arch Linux, Slackware and others are compatible with them.
EPM project is completely free and open. Learn how to use a single tool for managing packages.
