Webinos project calls from App Challenge

The EU-funded Webinos project that traces the development of hardware-and operating system-independent software, has now released a public developer portal and proclaimed simultaneously with the activation of a developer competition.
Webinos is one of the European Union in the framework of JoinUp initiative funded with € 10 million open-source project that aims to bring the development of hardware-and operating system-independent software for “the future of the Internet” ahead. Webinos understood both as a platform, but will also make themselves available software components. So far, her nearly twenty companies and institutions, led by Dr. Stephan Steglich of the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research in the project are also involved, including the Technical University of Munich, the BMW Group Research and Technology, the German Telekom and said Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research.
