xine-lib 1.1.21 & 1.2.1, xine-ui 0.99.7

Xine – the player with the open source software that supports multiple video and audio formats. Xine-lib is a backend for a variety of projects, including Amarok (with older versions of Phonon), Totem (up to version 2.28), Kaffeine and xine-ui.

Today, developers are pleased with our xine by three new releases:

  • Xine-lib 1.1 got initial support for Blu-ray, Matroska, DVB, MPEG-TS, improved handling, and some corrections YUV codec ffmpeg. Also now you can build on Windows. Fixed some bugs, two of which could lead to a fall.


  • Xine-lib 1.2 was the solution of problems with the DVB, optimized YUV, support for FLAC in Matroska, and support for the BMP (!).
  • Xine-ui brought relatively few features: improved support for playlists M3U, refine the interface, integration with XScreenSaver and fix the other two serious bugs.
