QEMU 1.1.0 release

After six months of active development was published in the next version of QEMU – the popular virtual machine, which realizes full emulation of more than a dozen architectures. Among other things:

  • Support Bridge PCI-to-PCI;
  • Support hot-plug devices PCI;
  • emulation of ARM: added platform nuri, smbkc210, highbank, vexpress-a15;
  • removed support for Symbian Virtual Platform;
  • emulation of PPC: virtio device support in the-M pseries;


  • Emulation SPARC: added ability to download Linux/sparc64;
  • emulation of the new devices: virtio-scsi, USB 3.0 (xHCI);
  • a new network bridge that does not require root privileges to the main process QEMU;
  • improvements to emulate the floppy controller.
