Xfce 4.10

Today, after almost a year and a half after the previous release, a new version of lightweight Xfce desktop environment under number 4.10.

The main changes are

:

  • Completely rewritten Application Finder, joining the functions of a xfrun4;
  • In the main panel, a new vertical mode «Deskbar Mode», in which the plugins are arranged in several rows;
  • The new editor of the MIME-types that allows you to easily customize standard applications;

  • Expanded functional configuration dialog mouse and touchpad. Improved support for Tablet PCs;
  • The desktop is now able to display thumbnail images and automatically change the wallpaper;
  • The window manager now supports a mosaic arrangement of windows (tiling).
