Released Linux Mint Debian 201,204

Linux Mint developers have announced the release of Linux Mint Debian 201,204.

A choice of two versions – with MATE 1.2/Cinnamon 1.4 or with Xfce 4.8, both in form 32-bit or 64-bit.

Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) is based on Debian Testing, uses a repository Debian, but declared more stable – updates are made available to users after some additional testing and compatibility testing in a “settler» Linux Mint, which formed the so-called «Update Packs» for users.

Developers themselves, this approach to upgrades called «semi-rolling distribution».

The main display manager for all versions declared MDM – fork GDM2 for MATE.
