Mozilla unveiled a new Web standard MediaStream Processing

Mozilla offers a new web standard MediaStream Processing , containing the JavaScript API for working with audio and video streams in real time. The specifications are still in the early stages of development, but Mozilla has already started work on a test version.
The new API allows you to perform tasks such as mixing of audio streams, dynamic overlay audio and video, software generation audio streams. The current version of specifications aimed at working with sound, but in future they will be added to support and work with video, including features such as QR code recognition and augmented reality in web applications.
A distinctive feature of the new standard is its focus on the full compatibility with existing standards.
Most likely, the patches to implement support for MediaStream Processing, first get a “nightly build” Firefox. When the standard is fully tested, it will support and in stable releases of the browser.
