Web server statistics: Apache sets to

Web specialists from the monthly Netcraft Web server published measurements shows the free Apache server with 20 million new hostnames on the upswing.

555 482 744 Web sites have on the automated queries answered by Netcraft. Since the November measure that almost 30 million host names are longer, which has cut off a big piece of Apache. Microsoft’s IIS Web server has also risen, with 1.2 million new sites, but much more modest and to an extent that the IIS can lose you 15 percent (15.45 percent November) market share.


Apache gets the next (65 percent) and the slim Nginx web server, that has worked his way up in December with a market share of almost nine percent, which is the highest ever level in the Netcraft statistics. It follows in fourth place with Google’s servers in a monthly constant 3.3 percent.
