Fedora 16 has been released Verne

We have among us the new version of this excellent distribution based on Red Hat , Fedora 16, which in this case carries the nickname “Verne”. As always, the community responsible for the development of Fedora brings the newest GNU / Linux, implemented in the best manner and always focused on ease of use of the distribution, both by the more experienced as the most novice.


Some of the most notable of a long list are:

  • A better support for the cloud
    KDE 4.7 .-
  • GNOME 3.2, which solves many of the deficiencies identified in GNOME 3.0
  • Kernel 3.1
    Grub2 .-
  • HAL is removed and replaced by UDisk, and libudev upower.
  • Chrony as default NTP client
    Continue to change .- systemd
  • Performance improvements in various components of virtualization.
