Support files in Visio LibreOffice: a success story

One of the projects in the program Google Summer of Code 2011 was the implementation of support for files in Microsoft Visio LibreOffice. The work was done Scottish student Eylid McAdam (Eilidh McAdam) under the supervision of Attachmate / SUSE Frederick Shtrby (Fridrich Strba).
Due to their library written libvisio, using developments of the project re-lab, LibreOffice Draw now able to correctly open and display the many charts and diagrams in the format of VSD, publish documents on which Microsoft has never bothered.
