KMyMoney 4.6 released

The developers of the free financial management program, have released version 4.6.0 KMyMoney, the second release for KDE 4 The main innovation is the import of CSV files.

KMyMoney is a financial management program for KDE, which focuses on home users and wants to be the best free software in this area. Although KMyMoney not understand as a financial management software for enterprises, it offers features that are found in only a few free applications. Similar to MS Money offers KMyMoney also the possibility to manage different types of accounts, which in turn can be performed in different currencies, cataloging of inputs and outputs, balance between different accounts and import and export of QIF files.

It also supports the online synchronization with a bank. Here, the OFX and HBCI protocols are supported. Another strength is its reporting capabilities of the application, which among other things, cash flow, forecasting, taxation and charts. Furthermore KMyMoney now supports investment accounts in stocks, bonds and funds. Other species such as futures, commodities, options or complex derivatives are indeed listed, but not directly supported.

Exactly one year after the release of KMyMoney 4.5 , which represented the first version of KDE 4 have improved the developers and the program continues KMyMoney 4.6.0 released. The list of changes is long, but in addition includes new translations mainly fixes, improvements and translations of the documentation and minor additions. The biggest new feature is the import of CSV files. This was implemented as a plugin. The application has been translated into 36 languages ​​and their documentation in seven.
