Elfkickers 3.0 support 64-bit
by admin ·
The elfkickers are a collection of small programs to work with Linux binaries. After about a decade break, there are now 3.0 with a new version.
The most important change: All programs (except EBFC) now support in addition to 32-bit ELF files now also those for 64-bit. New Items in the collection objRS, a kind of compiler, the binary data is translated into object files, and changed Infect, the binaries without recompiling. The particularly small Tiny programs has outsourced the development.
Brian Raiter wrote the elfkickers especially for students and developers who want to explore and understand the Executable Linkable Format (ELF) and Linux binaries. The software is under GPLv2, and is on the home page elfkickers available as source tarball.
