11:04 Ubuntu “Natty” goes into beta

The first beta version of the next version of Ubuntu 11:04 alias “Natty Narwhal” is nearing completion of the Linux distribution.

It will follow another beta release before the final version in late April is on the roadmap. At the 11:04 may unlike Long-Term Support versions, the developers are keen to experiment again. Ubuntu is based on the slim-house development Unity as the default desktop. In addition to the Unity desktop, there is a Classic session with Ubuntu Gnome. 11:04 Kubuntu uses the current KDE 4.6.
