Oracle puts an end to Ruby on Rails in Netbeans
by admin ·
The NetBeans developers should concentrate in future on its core business.
In a message to the community , the team announced the NetBeans development environment in order not to support Rails Ruby on in future. As a reason, it indicates to concentrate in future on the support of the upcoming Java SE 7 and Java Development Kit 7 (JDK 7). Outstanding Java support has always been the focus of NetBeans development, and it wants to now focus only once. Another reason for leaving the Ruby on Rails support were the small number of users in the use of statistics.
As of today, is the code for Ruby on Rails no longer part of the NetBeans development builds. Next to this module are interested in the developer page for the Ruby support referenced and called upon to continue the project itself.
