Lips Of Suna 0.2.0

The day before yesterday, 29 January, a new version of the game Lips Of Suna 0.2.0.
Lips Of Suna – play with elements of action-RPG. Supports single player mode, in the future will support online games (up to 30 players on one server).

The main changes compared to version 0.1.1:

  • Greatly improved algorithm for generating maps.
  • New monsters: the dragon and aer brigands (?).
  • New things: plate armor, armor from adamantyl, various types of weapons that can make the most of the ore.
  • The level of armor protection is taken into account when calculating damage.
  • Added first part of the main quest and a side quest.

Pandoc 1.8 Can Textile and Org-mode

The free document converter pandoc is available in version 1.8 with new features.
Contributions from the community have the free program brings support for more formats. These include read and write support for Textile and write support for the Org-mode of the Emacs editor. There is also a new and faster JSON reader and writer. To the existing citation as Bibtex and Endnote has now joined Citeproc-hs-0.3 as another option. Many details have changed in the Changelog described.

The Haskell program pandoc is licensed under GPL. It transforms input files in Markdown, HTML, LaTeX and other markup languages, document formats such as PDF, RTF, Open Document, GNU Texinfo, Epub, and more. The software can be used as a command line tool or use it in Haskell programs as a library. It also comes in the wiki software Gitit ( online article ) were used.

Nmap Scripting Engine 5.5 extended NSE

The new Nmap is now bringing more than twice as many scripts for burglary and similar tests with.

One year after the last stable release, the Nmap developers have released the latest version of 5:50 of the security scanner. The focus is on the extension of the scripting engine NSE, users can automate the security testing with Nmap. In particular, Nmap brings in the latest version with over 100 scripts for testing application protocols such as Web servers, databases, DNS, and FTP. Even a bit in the aging gopher protocol is not missing, as developer Gordon “Fyodor” Lyon in his announcement wryly notes.

A new implementation of ZFS for Linux

Presented to support the implementation of file system ZFS to the Linux kernel from an Indian firm KQ Infotech . Driver source code available for hosting open source GitHub . Due to compatibility issues licenses CDDL and GPLv2 + developers, it was decided to license all the code under the CDDL, and the driver realized as a loadable kernel module. Binaries and source packages for Fedora 14, RHEL6, Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 are available from the website after free registration .

Code base served as a project of Native ZFS , which is a leader Brian Behlendorf. Used 28-th version of zpool and code from the 147 th assembly of OpenSolaris. Unlike the original project, which implemented only SPA (Storage Pool Allocator), DMU (Data Management Unit) and ZVOL (ZFS Emulated Volume), a new project implemented by the level of ZPL . Oracle puts an end to Ruby on Rails in Netbeans

The NetBeans developers should concentrate in future on its core business.
In a message to the community , the team announced the NetBeans development environment in order not to support Rails Ruby on in future. As a reason, it indicates to concentrate in future on the support of the upcoming Java SE 7 and Java Development Kit 7 (JDK 7). Outstanding Java support has always been the focus of NetBeans development, and it wants to now focus only once. Another reason for leaving the Ruby on Rails support were the small number of users in the use of statistics.

SnapFly 0.7.0

Held the second major release of the draft SnapFly – lung PyGTK + – menu, perfectly suitable for light environments, based on WM (type openbox, fluxbox). This project is part of the project AgiliaLinux .

Changes compared with the first release:

  • Was greatly improved configuration file parser SnapFly, now the program does not fall under the wrong usermenu-config.

KDevelop 4.2

Today, together with KDE SC 4.6 was announced release of version 4.2 of the popular development environment KDevelop and its associated plug-KDevelop-php.
