The London Stock Exchange migrates Linux

The London Stock Exchange (LSE), one of the largest in the world (founded en1801), is about to enter a transitional period of twelve months to develop a new Linux platform.

This system replacing TradElect based architecture. NET Windows Update yet two years ago by Accenture for the sum of 40million pounds.

Arch Linux Magazine, the second part finally out

He has had almost six months to see the second part of the ALM ( Arch Linux Magazine ) but there it is! He was released and the team of ArchLinux. Com began to make contributions to the translation and the layout.

Even if nothing unusual, it is always interesting to read it in French and free.

A New Year

Did you ever wonder why the new year starts in the middle of winter?
The GHQ being in a sub-typical climate does not experience a true winter, so I never really gave it much thought. I did read something about it though long ago and found this on wikipeda today.

” The uprisings in Rome’s Hispanic provinces oblige the year’s consuls to take office earlier than the traditional date of 15 March, a change that becomes permanent. Some suggest that, as a consequence, 1 January becomes the first day of the Roman year.”

The new year is a good time to “Refit and Re-organize”, and that is just what I will be doing this month.
